Resources for the Implementation of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal
Many organizations and publishers are working to prepare U.S. Roman Catholics for the launch of the Roman Missal on 27 November 2011. They include:
• The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Committee on Divine Worship. THE source of information on the Roman Missal. www.usccb.org/romanmissal/.
• The Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) offers many resources for parish and clergy on the Missal. www.fdlc.org
• The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is developing MP-3 recordings to assist priests in learning how to chant the new Mass texts, particularly the dialogs. www.npm.org
• The International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL) serves the world's 11 English-speaking conferences of bishops by translating Mass texts from Latin to English. www.icelweb.org. ICEL is also developing a series of interactive DVDs for Catholics at www.becomeonebodyonespiritinchrist.org
• Father Paul Turner is a parish pastor and scholar who writes and speaks often on the Roman Missal and parish liturgy. He also serves as a facilitator to ICEL. www.paulturner.org
• GIA Publications, Inc., has musical resources for revised and new Mass settings as well as books and commentary. www.giamusic.com/sacred_music/info.cfm
• The Liturgical Institute at Mundelein Seminary, Mundelein IL, is developing a series of workshops. www.mysticalbodymysticalvoice.org/
• Liturgical Press is publishing scholarly works on the Roman Missal, such as The Genius of the Roman Rite: On the Reception and Implementation of the New Missal by Keith F. Pecklers, SJ. Litpress.org They also sponsor a blog overseen by Fr. Anthony Ruff, OSB, www.praytellblog.com
• Liturgy Training Publications has developed some very good materials to be distributed to parishioners, including a booklet, with leader's guides. www.ltp.org/
• The Notre Dame Center for Liturgy has videotaped lectures about the new translation of the Roman Missal. liturgy.nd.edu/webcatechesis
• Oregon Catholic Press (OCP) has musical resources for revised and new Mass settings. www.ocp.org/newmasssettings

• World Library Publications is marketing Prepare and Pray: Eucharistic Prayers I, II, III, and IV. This recording by Bishop Peter J.
